E.G. EUGENE GLOBAL LTD, as a partner of the “FaRMER: Farms Risk Management to Enhance Resilience” project, participated in the 2nd Transnational Project Meeting held in Lisbon, Portugal by CONSULAI, CONSULTORIA AGROINDUSTRIAL LDA on 13th and 14th of September 2022.
Ten participants from five partner organizations coming from four European countries attended, live or remotely, the 2nd Meeting of Farmer Project whose purpose is to teach the farmers in the EU about the risk management and risk resilience principles, a concept that seems to be completely unknown between most farmers in the EU, putting in danger not only the profits but even the survivability of their operations.
The 2-days meeting had two different aspects: on the first day the partners presented and discussed the first three project results, namely the “Score My Resilience” Tool, the “Resilience Framework” and the “Farmer Course”. On the second day, the partners paid a visit to a farm and had the chance to discover how, an applied approach based on risk management and resilience, combined with the usage of new technological tools, can lead to results that most farmers cannot even imagine.
