EUGENE participates in the new EU-funded project “Farmer – Farms Risk Management to Enhance Resilience” under Erasmus+ KA2 – Strategic Partnerships for vocational education and training program.

5 partners from 4 EU countries have joined the FaRMER consortium: Agricultural University of Athens, Greece, SIGMA BUSINESS NETWORK a Consulting firm from Greece, Consulai the largest consulting firm in the agribusiness, farming, and forestry sectors in Portugal, Food Scale Hub an Impact Venture Studio working to accelerate the shift towards tech-enabled innovations in the agri-food sector in Serbia and EUGENE GLOBAL from Cyprus.

The main targets of the FaRMER Project are to:

  • Empower farmers’ risk culture and perception in a plain risk language easily comprehensible to all individuals working in the agri-food sector regardless of their educational background.
  • Enhance target groups’ resilience, productivity, and competitiveness through the evolution of their risk management competence and capabilities in relation to their business operations and management.
  • Develop analytical, cross-referencing, and deductive reasoning skills for Farmers to help them navigate through the complexities and ever-changing nature of the Farming business.

The project’s target group is Farmers, Agricultural associations, Agricultural cooperatives, Agricultural consultants as well as VET and Training providers in the farming sector.
