Res-Food is a EU-funded project that will develop a training and awareness project with an aim to: 1. Provide training and awareness to all actors that are engaged from food production to food consumption in order to acquire required skills for assessing food loss, designing prevention measures for food loss (including policies, procedures, strategies etc.), monitoring the food loss measures.

This will help Ho.Re.Ca. companies reduce the overall food loss quantities and thus mitigate the related environmental negative impacts.

Bridge companies from all the supply chain sector that potentially generate food loss with humanitarian actors (NGOs, Parishes, Municipal Actors etc.) that have established food donation activities in place and could redistribute excess food quantities for human consumption to needy individuals (dependent on the social welfare system, long-term unemployed, poor people, homeless, in dept or with serious financial problems).

The specific objectives of this project is to:

-Provide Supermarkets and Ho.Re.Ca. companies a tool in order to quantify their Food Waste Status and the complete environmental impact caused by their activities and operations by their food waste.

EUGENE will  be in charge of the Digital Transformation of Training Content into an e-Course (incl. gamefication, videos, ebook).
