The latest edition of the Couriers Go Green Newsletter highlights the project’s ongoing commitment to promoting sustainability within the courier sector. This newsletter serves as a platform to disseminate valuable information and updates regarding the project’s activities and achievements.
Key Highlights
One of the significant events featured in this edition is the first multiplier event titled “Greening Goods Deliveries,” which took place at Plastira’s Lake on September 4, 2024. This event was organised by the University of Thessaly and aimed to foster discussions on eco-friendly solutions and technologies within the logistics and delivery industries 4. The event successfully attracted stakeholders from various sectors, including researchers and practitioners, who exchanged knowledge and best practices.
Additionally, the newsletter announces a call for participation in testing the newly developed “Couriers Go Green HUB,” an educational platform designed to support courier and transportation companies in adopting greener practices. The testing period is set from September 23 to October 18, 2024, and aims to gather feedback from managers and employees in the sector.
Multilingual E-Learning Hub
The Couriers Go Green project has made significant progress by transforming its website into a multilingual e-learning hub. This hub is now available in English, Greek, Hungarian, and Romanian, demonstrating the project’s commitment to inclusivity and broader engagement across Europe. It offers a comprehensive toolkit for individuals involved in courier and transport services, fostering discussions and collaborations on sustainable practices.
Educational and Training Opportunities
The newsletter details the educational and training courses offered by the project, which comprise three modules: Governance, Management, and Operation. The course is available in four languages and aims to equip participants with essential skills and knowledge. Upon completion, participants will receive the Couriers Go Green Professional Certification.
As the project advances, it continues to organize offline events in five European countries, allowing stakeholders to engage with experts and learn about user-friendly tools and certification processes.
